"About four years ago, I found myself in need of making a change in my lifestyle when my son got married and I needed to find another place to live. So I began the search for an apartment near both of my sons and my cousins that I could afford. I soon heard that Alden was putting up an apartment building for senior citizens who lived independently on fixed incomes. This sounded like the perfect solution for me and I applied right away. Soon after, I found out I qualified for residency and am proud of the fact that I was one of the very first residents who moved into Oak Forest Horizon in February 2004. I am very happy with my decision as the common areas are beautifully decorated and maintained by our Maintenance staff. Socialization and togetherness among residents is encouraged but at the same time, everyone’s privacy is respected. For 2 ½ years, I assisted in organizing activities and have been very involved in the building, which has really helped me develop caring and lasting friendships."

"Just a little note to tell you how fortunate we are here at Oak Forest Horizon to have Florence Latinovich as our Office Manager. Her great rapport with the residents is an asset to this building. Our Maintenance Managers, Jerry Majka and his wife Connie, are wonderful as well. All three go beyond their duties to keep everything running so smoothly and to make it such a pleasure to live here. The building is always spotless. It was three years in February 2007 that I moved from the home where I lived for 46 years. I can honestly tell you that I’m so happy I made the move here!"

"Oak Forest Horizon Senior Living Community is a welcome addition to the city of Oak Forest. Such a housing option for our older adults was sorely needed and we are glad Alden chose to develop in our community. Oak Forest Horizon is not like other senior buildings – it features professional landscaping that is very pleasing to the eye as well as a lovely exterior. The lobby is especially inviting, especially when the fireplace is in operation. The tenants I have spoken with all seem to enjoy their home and the fully array of amenities offered in the building. The apartments we have toured are quite comfortable and residents tell us that the living conditions are superior to previous senior buildings they visited and/or lived in. Additionally, Oak Forest has a convenient location accessible to public transportation. In fact, the senior bus service provided by the city includes Oak Forest Horizon on its route."
